Day 6: Glow Up Devotional – Stillness is a Strategy: Let God Do the Heavy Lifting

GLOW UP DEVOTIONALS

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. — Exodus 14:14

Reflection:
Sometimes the hardest thing to do is… nothing. Especially when we’re used to hustling, fixing, controlling, or proving ourselves. But God didn’t call you to be the savior—He already sent one. There’s power in stillness. It’s not giving up; it’s giving over. When your mind is racing and your spirit feels restless, pause and remember: the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s. He doesn’t need your perfection—He wants your position. Rest in that. He’s already moving, already working. Just be still and let God be God, bestie.

Prayer:
Father, I release my need to have all the answers. Teach me how to rest in You. When I want to take control, remind me that You are already in control. Fight for me, Lord. Calm my heart and quiet my fears. I trust that You’re working even when I can’t see it. Thank You for going before me. Amen.

Journaling Prompt:
What situation have you been trying to fix or control in your own strength? What would it look like to hand it over to God and let Him fight on your behalf?
